For the 2024-25 school year, we are offering a STEAM class for grades 1 through 6 in the HCA Tinker Studio. Classes meet for approximately 1 hour during the school day, 3 days per week. Class sizes will be limited to maximize hands-on learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. The cost is $100/month (for 10 months).

Registration for the Tinker Studio is a commitment for the entire school year. A $100 fee will be added to your tuition in the months of August through May. The fee covers materials for classroom instruction but there may be optional projects, challenges and field trips with additional charges. Although STEAM classes are scheduled for three days per week during a normal school week, it is expected that students may miss a class due to school absence, severe weather, school holidays, or other unexpected events. Every effort will be made to provide maximum value to students enrolled in this optional class. Due to the advanced nature of the curriculum, it is imperative that students are on their best behavior during this class so that every student gets maximum enjoyment. After the first warning, students who do not follow classroom rules or teacher instructions will be asked to leave the Tinker Studio. To maximize the use of their time in the Tinker Studio, some projects may require minimal work or study at home before or after a classroom exercise. Some experiments may require additional adult supervision and we look forward to offering opportunities for parental involvement in the Tinker Studio.
