The Alabama Accountability Act established a scholarship program for low
income students to attend public or private schools. Tax-deductible
donations for scholarships are managed by Scholarship Granting
Organizations (SGO). Household income is a limiting factor in being awarded one of these scholarships. HCA is partnered with these two SGOs:
Rocket City SGO
Regular church attendance expected of all HCA families. Families who give freely of their time and resources to their church, dedicating their lives to Christian service, often find themselves beneficiaries of financial assistance for their children to attend a Christian School. Be sure to inquire at your church for tuition assistance. If someone at your church would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please reach out to us for details.
After all other avenues of tuition assistance has been exhausted, limited funds from HCA are available for tuition assistance. Applicants are expected to demonstrate:
1) active church membership;
2) a genuine financial need, substantiated by income tax returns and other documents;
3) earnest attempts to secure funding from other sources and to be diligent in meeting the application requirements, submitting proper documents, and meeting deadlines when applying for all scholarships; and
4) a willingness to serve the school, most importantly, in the school’s recruiting and fundraising efforts.
